Collection: BLACK TEAS

What is black tea?

These teas are called red teas in the Chinese world (not to be confused with ROOIBOSS sometimes called "red tea"). What the Chinese originally call black tea is a post-fermented tea, a fermented Oolong tea that has undergone post-fermentation. The leaves are harvested and undergo the natural process of oxidation, depending on the cultivar and the region the appearance of the leaves and the taste can vary considerably. We have a selection of the best quality teas whose reputation is second to none. The best known in India are Darjeeling teas, Assam garden teas, and Nilgiri teas. There are also very good black teas in China in the Yunnan region and parts of Taiwan.
