In herbology, mullein is particularly prized for clearing and regenerating the pulmonary alveoli. It is considered not only a tonic, but also a lung regenerator and bronchodilator. It also contains a compound that acts on the central nervous system, stimulating mucus expectoration.
It balances mucous membranes by drying out excess mucus or moistening parched mucous membranes.
It is used as a preventive measure against bronchitis, colds and coughs, or to treat pulmonary insufficiency, asthma and all forms of respiratory congestion.
2 teaspoons / 250 ml boiling water / 10 minutes
